H2A- Hawkins & Hawkins Architects are an accomplished, award-winning firm founded in 1987.

The firm principals are members of the American Institute of Architects, and bring many years of collective experience in commercial, mixed-use retail, aviation and residential building projects.

Our philosophy is simple; through thoughtful planning and intense collaboration with our clients, create buildings of beauty, grace and quality, relevant to their surroundings, while recognizing the need to be environmentally sensitive.

We approach each project with a thorough study and understanding of the local environment and neighborhood, in order to design buildings with a strong sense of character and identity and create a human “sense of place”.

Fundamental to the success of every project, our project teams are staffed by well-trained and experienced professionals.  Our goal is to provide the client with the highest quality design and service within the parameters of the construction budget while fulfilling the project objectives. We deliver value engineering throughout the process to determine the appropriate building systems, materials and methods as they relate to cost and function.  To ensure this, the Project Architect and Principal-in-Charge direct the design team throughout the scope of the project.

H2A’s scope of services encompass all phases of architectural practice, including site planning, programming, feasibility studies, master planning, architectural design, interior design, tenant space planning, construction management and LEED sustainable design.

The quality of our work is reflected in the design awards received by the Principals, including seven Gold Nugget Awards from the Pacific Coast Builders Conference and accolades in Sun Coast Architects/Builders Magazine, The Moscow Architectural Journal, the San Diego Union Tribune and the Los Angeles Times.
