Conrad Bernard joined Boyd Commercial in 1996 after a 16-year career with CB Richard Ellis. A specialist in industrial/commercial real estate brokerage, Conrad is involved in selling and leasing distribution, manufacturing and service center facilities, build-to-suit and design/construct projects, site acquisitions, investment property sales and tenant representation.

During the past few years Conrad has had a profound effect on the Houston real estate scene, leasing to 100 percent occupancy a 1.3 million square foot manufacturing, office and warehouse facility to 10 different companies who moved in 1,500 employees. A 230,000 square foot office building, the former headquarters of Hughes Tool Company, was sold to the State of Texas and is now occupied by the General Services Administration, along with several other state agencies.

Additionally, Conrad has recently completed several significant transactions for Baker Hughes. These transactions include the relocation of Baker Hughes Incorporated’s world headquarters, the sale of a 1,100,000 square foot multi-tenant industrial complex, the sale of a 105 acre re-development site which contained over 1,000,000 square feet of office manufacturing and warehouse facilities and a multi-property sale/leaseback transaction for them comprising of more than 1,000,000 square feet. Conrad was also involved in the sale of two multi-tenant industrial portfolios comprised of 6.1 million square feet to First Industrial REIT. Also, Conrad assisted The Coca-Cola Company in selling their Minute Maid division’s 350,000 square foot headquarters office building.

Affiliations & Designations:

Conrad’s industry involvement includes memberships with the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR), the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR), the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Houston Realty Breakfast Club.

He has been selected to be the 2009-2010 Regional Director for the Southwest Region of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), the 2006-2007 Chairman of the Membership Standards Committee for SIOR National and the 2004 President of the Houston Gulf Coast Chapter of SIOR.

He is also a co-winner of the William C. Jennings Lone Star Award presented by TAR for the Outstanding Commercial Transaction of the Year and was a co-winner of the SIOR award for the largest dollar volume investment transaction.

Mr. Bernard is a member of CORFAC International, a worldwide network of select real estate professionals. His affiliation with CORFAC enables him to assist clients with their real estate needs throughout the US, Europe and Asia.
