National commercial market conditions may improve this year

The commercial market may strengthen this year.

Many property management companies may experience improving commercial real estate conditions across the country this year.

There is still some economic worries at both the national and global levels, including issues related to the ‘fiscal cliff,’ but there are positives in the American market due to its stability, a report from Avison Young noted. The commercial real estate market has many positive aspects, and it may have hit its bottom last year.

“Amid uncertainty and risk lies opportunity,” said Mark Rose, chair and CEO of Avison Young. “This is not to say that we should write off 2013, or sit on the sidelines. Quite the opposite: there is much to be transacted in 2013 while strengthening positions for the future, as the ongoing issues domestically and abroad see some form of resolution.”

There is a low level of development present throughout much of the market, which may help improve the overall level of property prices and activity in the market, the report noted. Additionally, the highest quality products in core markets are also popular among investors.
