PwC: Dallas emerging as good investment market

Dallas has become a good commercial real estate investment market.

Property management companies could see an uptick in business in the Dallas commercial real estate market, as it is emerging as one of the most favorable for investment.

According to PricewaterhouseCoopers' 2012 Real Estate Investor Survey, the office, industrial and multifamily sectors have all seen strong investor interest. Additionally, more developments are expected to arise in the next year, as there is a lack of supply in the office and industrial markets.

"Dallas is moving up the spectrum as being the most attractive markets outside of the six primary coastal markets," PwC partner and national real estate practice leader R. Byron Carlock Jr. said. "It's a standout in the world economy of uncertainty. There are more investors looking to develop in hard assets in Dallas."

According to the Dallas Morning News, there are several positive signs in the area that show the commercial real estate market is improving, including office building prices setting a new record high and architecture companies moving into new office buildings.
