Commercial property companies interested in technological outreach

More property companies are using technology as a part of outreach.

With technology advancing quickly, many firms are looking to help out property management companies when it comes to simplifying leasing and rent. Many of these companies are biting, and it could be helping make business easier, according to MultiHousingNews.

While just about everyone has a cell phone, most people have smartphones, and use them frequently. Renters own these devices at a much higher rate than the rest of the population, so tapping into that market can not only be useful, it may be something that these people are waiting for, the report said. Many rental companies may have websites, but getting these sites developed specifically for mobile use may be ideal.

"If you think about mobile technology, it's the only thing you can be certain that renters will have in their pockets," Jay Bhattacharya, CEO of Zipmark, a check payment application for mobile devices, told the news source.

Furthermore, some companies are developing tablets that can be used just for leasing purposes, the news source added. This could give agents an upper hand when working with potential clients. Also, it may end up making the process much easier in the long-run.
